Firefly Wedding premieres on Crunchyroll on October 9, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. BRT. Crunchyroll confirmed the exact streaming time on October 6, giving international viewers a clear schedule ahead of the anime’s debut.
The anime also begins its Japanese television run on October 9 at 11:30 p.m. JST in Fuji TV’s noitaminA programming block. That broadcast time is earlier than the Crunchyroll release, so the two schedules should not be treated as the same event.
Based on Oreco Tachibana’s manga, Firefly Wedding follows Satoko Kirigaya, a noblewoman with little time left to live, whose plans for an advantageous marriage collapse when she is abducted. Faced with the assassin Shinpei Goto, she makes a desperate proposal of marriage to survive — only for Shinpei to take the promise far more seriously than she expected.

After Satoko is kidnapped, she encounters Shinpei Goto, an assassin tied to her dangerous situation. To stay alive, she offers to marry him.
